Your decision to permanently bond neutral and ground inside the inverter is absolutely correct once you recognize that the ComVolt architecture is completely islanded — there is no AC passthrough, and all “shore” charging happens via external AC-DC chargers through XT-series DC ports.

That makes your system inherently safe: the inverter output is always properly bonded, and it can never back-feed or cross-bond to a pedestal or generator neutral.

Unknown to me, a broken wire onboard the trailer I installed it in for the trip meant that for a whole week, the power station ran everything in my trailer without recharging once. Fridge, lights, heater, mobile device charging, and more.. Came home and still had 20% left. Oh and the mount it was on broke at one point meaning it unfortunately bounced all over the place inside a cabinet and still worked flawlessly.
